A threatening hand gesture. There seems to be difference of opinion on the literal interpretation of the name, although Amy Heller in 1997 article, quite plausibly suggests, 'scorpion fingers,' which does nicely fit with the appearance of the hand gesture. She notes that this hand gesture is very frequently used by the hand of the deity brandishing a weapon. rdo rje khu tshur las mdzub mo ker ba byang chub mchog gi phyag rgya. Btsan-lha.
