The name of a temple dedicated to Vairocana in a location known as 'bis khog, to the southwest of skye rgu mdo. Legend has it that the temple was visited by the Chinese bride of srong btsan sgam po, and that she was responsible for the production of the relief-carved buddhas that are found there. Inscriptions on the site suggest, however, that the temple dates from the early years of the 9th century.
