  • ཚོར་བའི་དུག (Tibetan, Tibetan script, Original)
    • > tshor ba'i dug (Tibetan, Latin script, Transliteration-THL Extended Wylie Transliteration)

One element in an idiosyncratic and non-standard list of the “Five Poisons” (dug lnga) presented in the context of a Lion-faced Ḍākinī evocation. The other four are: mthong ba'i dug, the poison of seeing; reg pa'i dug, the poison of touch; kha rlangs pa'i dug, the poison of exhaling; bsam pa'i dug, the poison of expectation. This may suggest a belief in “mass hysteria and mob on the loose; and perhaps it is a belief in psychosomatic influence as the corrosive character of some feelings.”
