Mipham Rinpoche: གཟུགས་མེད་འཕགས་པ་ལ་རང་ས་ན་འབྱུང་བ་མེད་པའི་སྡོམ་པ་མངོན་གྱུར་མེད་ཀྱང་སྔར་འབྱུང་ཁམས་ཀྱི་ཟག་མེད་སྡོམ་པ་གཏོང་རྒྱུ་མ་བྱུང་བས་གཟུགས་མེད་དུ་སྐྱེས་པ་ལ་ཡང་ལྡན་པར་འདོད་དོ་ Noble beings in the formless realms have no physical elements within their respective states and, therefore, possess no visible vows. However, it is claimed that those born in the formless realms still possess [these vows], since there is no reason why their former undefiling vows - which occurred in their [previous] realm - should be considered abandoned.
