The Ultra Pith, a twelfth-century Great Perfection (rdzogs chen) tradition. The Ultra Pith was a later Great Perfection tradition, centered on the figure of Padmasambhava. It seems to have taken its inspiration from the earlier Four Cycles (skor bzhi) literature, with its characteristic presentations of ritual, meditative practice, subtle body practices, and funerary imagery.
