    • > reg pa'i dug (Tibetan, Latin script, Transliteration-THL Extended Wylie Transliteration)

The poison of touch. One element in an idiosyncratic and non-standard list of the “Five Poisons” (dug lnga) presented in the context of a Lion-faced Ḍākinī evocation. The other four are: mthong ba'i dug, the poison of seeing; kha rlangs kyi dug, the poison of exhaling; tshor ba'i dug, the poison of feeling; bsam pa'i dug, the poison of expectation. This may indicate a belief in the spread of disease by person-to-person contact, like hand shaking.
