Part of a consecration ceremony. In the course of a consecration, the ordinary appearance of the receptacle being consecrated (such as a stūpa, a book, or a painting) is contemplatively dissolved into emptiness, and the receptacle is then visualized in the form of a deity. The stage of the consecration call rten bsgur is a concluding phase when the receptacle is transformed back into its conventional appearance, while still being considered to be an embodiment of the deity.
