Note
In this passage, Yang dgon pa provides an original interpretation of the Mahāmudrā as an ever-present existential matrix (not unlike the Rdzogs chen concept gzhi) which is manifest in abiding or errant modes, without however itself being changed during its transformations. This interpretation is later taken lhan cig rs... (text missing). The distinction in the path aspect of phyag chen between sems nyid and snang srid modes also bears an unmistakable Rdzogs chen influence (as do other concepts dealt with by Yang dgon pa such as ye shes rtsal rdzogs).
